One of New Zealand’s greatest singer / songwriters, Graham Brazier was born on this day. A superb front man for Hello Sailor and The Legionnaires, as well as a solo artist, we sadly lost him several years ago. Rest in Peace Graham Brazier [6 May 1952 – 4 September 2015]. Fortunately, we have the excellent debut Hello Sailor LP to remember him by!
T. Rex were all over the charts in the early to mid-70s, even reissues of Marc Bolan’s pixie folk rock group, Tyrannosaurus Rex. It was all because of the fantastic singles and very cool albums ‘Electric Warrior’ & ‘The Slider’. Bolan was such a great songwriter, a perfect example being “Get It On”. And check out who is miming the piano parts on this Top of the Pops clip!
