My goal is to provide people with the music that makes them happy! I specialise in LP records ~ I love the challenge of finding an album that a customer has been after for many years. I have made so many friends in the record industry and beyond… Hi again to everybody I have met along the way!
Most of my life, I have been selling records… it all began at The EMI Shop, 261 George Street, Dunedin. I worked there from the late ’70s, until 1981 (just as Flying Nun Records was taking off).
I also trucked out the vinyl at The EMI Shop, Cuba Street, Wellington and ~ after a two year stint as singer in heavy rock band, Rose Bayonet ~ I was behind the counter at The EMI Shop, Downtown, Auckland.
Managing Record Warehouse in New Lynn, Auckland, was my next move in 1986, before I settled in for over two decades of service at Marbecks Records great store in Queen’s Arcade, Auckland! During this time, I was writing for Ripitup and Grace Magazines, supplying album and concert reviews and articles. A move to sunny Napier found me working remotely, controlling inventory and doing web administration. From 2014 on… time for ROCKSTUFF!
