Moonflower', initially released in October of 1977 was a return to the Latin influences of the Santana band's earlier albums. This collection includes live recordings (from Hammersmith Odeon 1976), as well as a number of innovative studio tracks, written especially for the album. From soaring displays of instrumental prowess through to radio-friendly "hit" singles -- 'Moonflower' has it all, and then some! 'Moonflower' is not only a great starting place for someone delving into the catalogue of this legendary group, but also a true pinnacle of recorded music from the late '70s -- totally ahead of it's time. It should also be noted that the album includes one of the most beautiful guitar instrumental tracks ever recorded, "Europa (Earth's Cry Heaven's Smile)".
