‘Hackney Diamonds’ marks the band’s first collaboration with New York-born producer and musician Andrew Watt, who was named Producer of the Year at the 2021 Grammy Awards and has worked with Ozzy Osbourne, Pearl Jam, Iggy Pop and Elton John. Late drummer Charlie Watts features on two tracks, “Mess It Up” and “Live By The Sword” (which also features bass from former Stones bassist Bill Wyman). “Sweet Sounds Of Heaven” has vocals from Lady Gaga and keys & piano from Stevie Wonder, “Bite My Head Off” with bass from Paul McCartney. Elton John provides piano on “Get Close” and “Live By The Sword”.
