Special cleaning fluid is applied to the LP with a soft brush as the table rotates in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions. This process loosens up any dust, removes fingerprints, grime, mildew, etc. Then the powerful vacuum sucks all the dirt and muck away, to make the record PRISTINE CLEAN! Obviously it can’t repair scratches, but if the vinyl has been well looked after, the VPI will bring it back to nice and shiny — good as new! 🙂
