Geoff –
Another confident, remarkable album from a woman who at that time, was only in her early 20s. Kate’s third LP, ‘Never for Ever’ was a number one hit in the U.K., featuring three singles that made the Top 20. Deservedly so too, as "Breathing", the magical "Babooshka" and "Army Dreamers" and are all wonderful songs. The latter is an anti-war number, as is the atmospheric, "Breathing", dealing with nuclear fallout. ‘Never for Ever’ is another confident, remarkable album from a woman who at that time, was only in her early 20s. The record cover has fantastical artwork by Nick Price, showing all sorts of birds and creatures flying out from under Kate’s skirt!
