1979: Emerson, Lake & Palmer announced their disbandment.
1999: George and Olivia Harrison were attacked in their home. Harrison was stabbed in the chest four times, but he and his wife were able to subdue the assailant until police arrived.
2016: Death of Allan Williams, the first manager of The Beatles [aged 86]. Williams supported the young group from 1960 to 1961, allowing them to play their first gigs in his bar, The Jacaranda, and securing bookings for them elsewhere.
2020: Death of saxophonist, Alto Reid, of Bob Seger’s Silver Bullet Band [aged 72].
