Happy 61st Birthday to Elizabeth Fraser, of The Cocteau Twins! The Scottish singer has a such a beautiful, pure soprano voice, which she uses as an emotion powered instrument. Prior to The Cocteau Twins, Elizabeth was with This Mortal Coil and delivered her crystalline version of Tim Buckley’s “Song to the Siren” in 1983. (She had a brief relationship with Jeff Buckley in 1994).
