1966: 24-year-old guitarist/singer/songwriter, Jimi Hendrix arrived in London with manager, Chas Chandler, on a flight from New York City. He quickly formed The Jimi Hendrix Experience with English musicians, Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell, radically changing rock history forever with his guitar prowess and amazing music.
1967: Traffic made their live debut when they appeared at Saville Theatre in London.
1971: T. Rex released their ‘Electric Warrior’ album.
1979: Eagles released their sixth album, ‘The Long Run’.
1982: Prince released his single “1999”.
1991: Nirvana released their second album, ‘Nevermind’.

Happy Birthday to Peter Salisbury, drummer with The Verve. Here is THE song of 1997… it was so unfair that Richard Ashcroft was robbed of songwriting royalties by ex-Stones manager, Allen Klein for this brilliant number. It’s huge popularity turned out to be very bitter sweet! (Thankfully, in April 2019, Jagger and Richards signed over all their publishing for the song to The Verve).
