EVENTS
1973: Sweet performed a concert at the Rainbow Theatre, London. Several of the songs recorded were later released as the live LP for their double album, ‘Strung Up’.
1973: Lou Reed performed in New York, later releasing the recordings as ‘Rock N Roll Animal’ & ‘Live’.
1985: Heart went to No.1 on the US album chart with their self-titled album.
1988: Death of bassist, Paul Jeffreys of Cockney Rebel [aged 36].
1992: Death of blues guitarist, Albert King [aged 69].
2014: Ian Anderson performed ‘The Best of Jethro Tull’ concert at Civic Theatre, Auckland ~ I was there!

Albert King ~ 32 years gone. I caught him live once, at Auckland Town Hall. Brilliant blues guitarist, he made that Flying V sing! Check out this rare footage of Albert jamming with Stevie Ray Vaughan on 6th December, 1983.
