Pure rock ‘n’ roll, Bowie’s “John, I’m Only Dancing” was released 52 years ago today! So far ahead of it’s time, this video (directed by Mick Rock) was banned when it was released back then, due to being too risqué. Sadly, guitarist Mick Ronson, bassist Trevor Bolder, Lou Reed (who contributed rhythm guitar to this classic 70s song) and the man himself, David Bowie, are all no longer with us.
And respect to Ronno, ‘Beside Bowie: The Mick Ronson Story’…
