1972: Pink Floyd began recording tracks for what would become ‘The Dark Side of the Moon‘.
1973: Soft Machine drummer Robert Wyatt broke his spine, after a fall from a building, leaving him permanently crippled and confined to a wheelchair.
1974: Kevin Ayers, John Cale, Brian Eno, Nico, Mike Oldfield, Robert Wyatt, Ollie Halsall & others performed a concert at Rainbow Theatre, London. It was recorded for a live album.
1975: Former Faces guitarist, Ronnie Wood performed his first concert with The Rolling Stones.
2018: Death of blues guitarist, Eddy “The Chief” Clearwater [aged 83].

Happy Birthday, Ronnie Wood! He’s 77 today and it was on his 28th birthday that he played his first gig with The Rolling Stones (he wasn’t officially declared a member until February, 1976). Although never properly credited, Ronnie co-wrote this super cool song, a year before he joined The Stones!
