Happy Birthday to Mike Campbell, guitarist with The Heartbreakers (and now Fleetwood Mac). Mike was Tom Petty’s band partner and close friend all the way through the history of The Heartbreakers. For over 42 years they toured, played guitar and wrote songs together, so it must have been a crushing loss, when Tom died on 2nd of October, 2017.
Anyone else ever catch Dread Zeppelin live? They put on a very entertaining show, fronted by Tortelvis, who had a full time water and towel assistant! Other members included Jah Paul Jo, Ziggy Gnarley, Jah-Jah Gabor, Butt-Boy & Fresh Cheese. They released albums such as ‘Un-Led-Ed’ (in 1990 ~ 4 years before Page & Plant’s album), ‘No Quarter Pounder’, ‘50,000,000 Tortelvis Fans Can’t Be Wrong’ & ‘The Song Remains Insane’. Robert Plant thought they were great! 😀
