Happy Birthday to Tony Carey, a fine keyboard player who contributed greatly to the prime time of Ritchie Blackmore’s band, Rainbow (1975 – 1977). Tony will be celebrating his 71st year on the planet ~ particularly since beating stomach cancer in 2010, after five surgeries. Sadly, Tony’s former Rainbow bandmate, Ronnie James Dio died of the same disease, shortly after Carey’s recovery.
