Japanese vinyl pressings are highly sought after by audiophiles and collectors, due to their premium sound quality and beautifully presented packaging. The sonic quality of Japanese records is regarded as the best in the world. No wonder all the original Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab records were pressed in Japan! The covers are printed on better quality heavy stock paper too. Top condition original Japanese pressings are becoming scarcer ~ and therefore more collectable and valuable every year.

Beautifully produced and highly recommended -- especially the magnificent original Japanese pressing! A magnificent recording! With a new rhythm guitarist in the line-up, Mark Knopfler could really stretch out on ‘Love Over Gold’. With only five songs (including the 14-minute opener "Telegraph Road”) the long, atmospheric, instrumental passages could be almost labelled as prog rock -- probably why I like it so much! This and the debut LP are my favourite Dire Straits albums, displaying what a tasteful, subtle guitarist Knopfler is. The group are at the height of their musicianship on ‘Love Over Gold’ -- beautifully produced and highly recommended!
